Flexstar Technology Announces a New Testing and Certification Program

Fremont, California. March 03, 2009- Flexstar Technology, Inc. (Flexstar) the worldwide leading supplier of standardized storage test systems, today announced they are offering a new testing service for HDD and SSD customers. The Flexstar Testing Solutions program is designed to meet today’s economic constraints as company’s have less capital to spend on test equipment. Flexstar will be applying their 29 years of industry knowledge along with their most popular test systems to provide their customers a complete testing solution.

“We are stepping up to the challenges in today’s economy with this new testing program. Many smaller companies need Flexstar’s testing capability but don’t have the capital to spend. This program is an excellent compromise and allows smaller companies to test and certify their products using the same Flexstar systems that larger Flexstar customer’s use.” says Tony Lavia President and CEO of Flexstar. He added “Our experience working with the major manufactures in the HDD, SSD, and ODD allows Flexstar the unique opportunity to offer this type of testing service”.

Tim Beck Vice President of Marketing explained more about the offering, “first the program is designed for EVT/DVT/RDT and ORT testing. Second the customer decides whether to use our environmental chambers, burn-in racks or ambient test systems. Third the customer decides what test scripts they want us to run. Customers have three choices in test scripts; 1) they can choose scripts from our extensive test library, 2) the customer can write their own test scripts or 3) they contract with our Professional Services Group to design and write the scripts to their requirements. After the testing is completed Flexstar provides a detailed report on the results. Tests can run days, weeks or months depending on the customer requirements.”
