First Altitude Chamber 60A for the Storage Industry

Fremont, California. November 30, 2008- Flexstar Technology, Inc. (Flexstar) the worldwide leading supplier of storage test systems, today announced its first altitude chamber in the history of the company. The Flexstar 60A is a 60 port, integrated altitude chamber that supports HDD and SSD storage devices in 3’5”, 2.5” and 1.8” form factors. Customers have four options on interfaces: PATA, USB, SATA and SAS up to 6G. The 60A’s altitude range is -1,500 to +40,000 feet and temperature from -30C to +85C. The 60A supports all previously written customer tests scripts from other Flexstar products, which make it effortless to add a Flexstar 60A to a company’s quality and reliability programs.

We have developed this product with input from our customers to ensure that the 60A meets or exceeds the industries requirements. The 60A has been under development for 5 months and we have hit our target delivery date to our first customer.”

“In addition to the normal altitude testing requirements that manufactures have been using, there is a growing need for more rigorous testing such as for military and government applications. The Flexstar 60A is in production and available immediately from Flexstar and Flexstar business partners. Flexstar is offering generous trade-in allowances on older altitude chambers. The Flexstar 60A deliveries are about 12 weeks ARO.
